September 2018 Income Report

September typically means back to school but it also means back to making money, for me! 🙂 Thankfully, lots of people returned home from their vacations and took out their wallets this September, because income was up across the board for me.

I didn’t put too much extra work into my blogs this month (I have a few personal projects which are getting most of my attention these days), but I still generated a decent amount of income in September!

I also added a couple new income sources to my business!

Take a look below:

Income

SourceIncome
AdSense$16.39
Mediavine$335
RewardStyle$792.26
Shareasale$0
Amazon$35.24
Bluehost$160
Skimlinks$12.22
Viglink$1.38
Total$1,338.89

You may notice I finally started generating income from Bluehost (mainly from my How to Start a Blog article), Skimlinks (from a travel article I wrote), and Viglink (from a furniture article I wrote). I couldn’t be happier about the new income sources and here’s hoping they will only grow from here!

Expenses

No major expenses this month, as I prepaid for my Tailwind subscriptions (read about how to use Tailwind for Pinterest traffic here), my web hosting (I use A2 but I recommend Bluehost for new bloggers!), and my domain name.

Traffic

Even though income was up, surprisingly, my traffic was slightly down across the board! I’m hoping I can slowly change this over time, as I was one of the first users to get access to the Pinterest Communities section of Pinterest! I quickly created a lot of relevant Communities for each of my blogs to “own” the topic around a certain space. Communities are still a relatively new space, but I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted on how they deliver.

Plans for Next Month

I’m still collecting lots of new content for my travel blog, and chugging along at posting these photos. That is my current plan for the rest of October. I’d also like to start preparing my Holiday content! Can’t believe Christmas is only 2 months away!

How was your September blog income?
